Perhaps you haven’t thought about it, but Coke is often associated with happiness. In fact, the words Coca-Cola, in Mandarin, means “Delicious Happiness.” So, when you view the company’s Happiness Machine” video on YouTube, you will also be convinced! Just think about that when evaluating the Coca-Cola’s Marketing Strategy. 


As on of only three agencies authorised to placed media on coca cola's behalf and one of only five agencies trusted to work on creative, digital, and social media projects, SASSO has become one of Coca-Cola's chief marketing allies.  Whether it's pillar campaigns throughout the year like share a coke, football or holiday campaigns, or new product launches like Coca cola Orange vanilla, the SASSO team works with the iconic brand to deliver growth across regions.  

Orange Vanilla Coke and Orange Vanilla Coke Zero Sugar were the first Coca-cola trademark flavour innovations in over a decade. So Coca-Cola executives wanted to make a splash nationally with the roll out. SASSO developed specific creative and unique media placement to help to ensure the new product's exposure was big and bold.

The Coca- Cola's "share a coke" pre-production process includes scriptwriting, location scouting, prop collection, hiring actors, equipment renting and creating shot-lists. When the concept has been agreed upon, the creative team (SASSO) came up with  the script and produced storyboards to show the visual intent for each frame. The script provides context,  this also includes  all speech, voice overs, acting notes and supers (text that’s placed over the visuals). 

After the script has been approved, there were some reviewing process involved. This involves making choices about:

  • The Director – who will bring the script to life?
  • The Talent – who are the right actors or voice overs (age/sex/look) for the commercial?
  • The Music – what music enhances the script or is a memorable jingle require for brand? Does the Ad require any sound effects to enhance the narrative?
  • Location – what should the set look like or does the commercial need to be set outdoors or in multiple locations?
  • Food styling/ wardrobe/ prop stylist – Who do you need to set to bring it to life?

The actual shoot lasted for five days . After the shoot, the post production department in SASSO finalised the final outcome of the advert. In this final phase, the post production department from the Editor to the marketer worked hand-in-hand to make the project a success.

This involves:

  • Editing – The video Editor put  the frames together to create the Ad. Ensure it worked for all format intended e.g. TV, YouTube, Instagram etc.
  • Sound engineering – ensured all the audio works seamlessly with together and with the visuals.



Wolves Music video (Kanye West ) Balmain Campaign


The fashion industry collaboration with music industry

Wolves is a song by American rapper Kanye West, featuring vocals from Sia and vic mensa, from his seventh studio album 'The life of Pablo'. The music video for the song was released on july 29,2016 as part of a Balmain advert campaign. This is definitely one of the most incredible campaigns I have ever since. 
Balmain is a french luxury fashion house founded by Pierre Balmain . it currently  operates 16 mono brand stores.
Balmain has partnered with kanye West to produce the music video which has doubled the brand campaign . Directed by Steven klein and art directed by Pascal dangin of KiDS Creative, the video was shot in New York city with Kim kardashian  and some  Rousteing's favourite models in the video shoot
"For balmain, the plurality of Kim and Kanye's careers and open-mindedness of their work fits perfectly with the diversity we strive to represent for the house," Rousteing said in an interview.
The  music video is a collection of creativities ; combination of  kanye west' creativity and balmain's market dominace ,made the video one of the best in that year. Several creative industries worked together for  proper outcome of this production.
The song , 'wolve' was produced by the popular Norwegian  DJ 'cashmere cat', after which Kanye west voiced on it .The Balmian fashion industry, seeing the creativity and artistic rendition of the song, decided to shoot the music video and made it the 2016 official balmain advert campaign.
Three creative industries worked together for this production to be the best of Balmain advert campaign so far. Starting from the pre´production i.e the  audio production of the song by the Norwegian  DJ  to Kanye west voicing on the audio production , and  Balmain's fashion industry handling the post production of the project i.e the video shoot and video  editing to the marketing of the advertisement .
Sound engineer, music producer , kanye west, the cameraman, the make up artist, Director, location manager, lightening operators , video editor , marketers ,all worked together on this project .






MUSIC INDUSTRY IN COLLABORATION WITH FILM INDUSTRY( Beyonce and Disney)



After doing the soundtrack for the "Lion King' remake and lending her voice to the character of Nala in 2019, the American superstar has joined forces with Disney once again for a new visual album project called " Black is King". Entirely written and directed by Beyonce. 

An  extended partnership with the Disney studios. Traditional garb, sumptuous landscapes and images that blend fiction and reality, Black is king promises to be aesthetic show no less fabulous than the planetary star's artistic performances. This visual album was written and directed by Beyonce in partnership with. the American animation giant, Walt Disney Pictures.

According to Disney studio, the visual album reinterprets the lessons of the lion king for the young kings and queens of today in search of their own crowns. According to them , the film tells the struggle and determination "of black families over time" through the adventures of a young king, who, guided by his ancestors, beings the reconquest of his throne in the face of adversity. Kept secret for more than a year, the film's production highlights " a cast and a crew that represents diversity", made up of African and African American professionals and artists.

We can say two main creative industries worked together , with so many of their subordinates  starting from Beyonce crew; the costume  designer , the logistic manager , make up artist, choreographers and dancers, cameraman, lightening manager, videographer, sound engineer, and so much more. This crews worked together to make this project achievable while Disney was in charge of the post production phase.

This collaboration made the project outstanding , making it the best of all time collaboration  .
